Rosso July 2026 | Oil Painting Workshop
: € 5,350 - € 6,250
After a wonderful first retreat at The Lady of the Château in 2025, Rosso Emerald Crimson returns for a second transformative week in 2026. This immersive portraiture workshop is designed to deepen your exploration of figure, color, and technique under Rosso’s guidance, working with a live model throughout the week.
Building on her signature approach, Rosso will draw inspiration from historic and classical movements while remaining rooted in a contemporary sensibility. Together, you’ll aim to capture not just a likeness, but the very essence of the model — styled in historic fabrics, intricate textures, and the opulent settings of the château, evoking muses across the centuries.
The château itself, with its layered history from the medieval era to the 18th century, provides a setting rich in atmosphere and inspiration. Learn to harness light and texture across satin, gilded accents, and dramatic backdrops as you create works that merge figurative realism with expressive, abstract surroundings.
This retreat offers more than technical mastery — it’s a chance to refine your perspective, push the boundaries of your creative voice, and grow in community with artists from around the world. Balanced with a thoughtfully curated itinerary of dining, entertainment, exploration, and connection, this promises to be a week you’ll never forget.
Due to high demand and to cultivate an intimate group dynamic, participation is by application only.
